Version 4.0.0 of ABRA TE for Java or .NET is now available for download!
Version 4.0.0 is the new generation of ABRA TE.
The release highlights are:
- new harmonized API
- massive speed improvements in all areas
- AI ready user guide
The new harmonized API is the result of our many years of xBRL experience. Every feature starts with a builder, and every method returns a result.
Your existing code still works. The new API replaces a number of existing types. We marked them as deprecated in Java and obsolete in .NET, and will remove them in the next major version.
We made the loading, the validation and the processing of reports much faster.
At the same time ABRA TE needs much less memory for them, also for very large reports.
The user guide now also ships as Markdown. In this format you can hand it to an AI assistant.
A new chapter describes the migration from version 3 to version 4.0.0.
Version 4.0.0 for Java needs Java 17 or higher. Version 3 still ran on Java 8.
Version 4.0.0 for .NET uses the latest IKVM version. We therefore ship one version for .NET Framework 4.7.2 and higher, and one version for .NET 8.
For version 4.0.0 a new license file is needed. Your current license file is valid for version 3 only.
